Leaked memo confirms MacBook Air screen glitches

A leaked confidential support document has confirmed that Apple is aware of the screen glitch issue with the new MacBook Air.

Unearthed by BGR, the document, which is marked 'Apple Internal Use Only - Issue/Investigation In Progress - Confidential Information - Do Not Dislcose Externally' says: "Some customers may report that the internal display is fading dark to light colours repeatedly after waking from sleep".

An almost identical missive addresses the horizontal flickering bug.

Both the 13-inch and 11-inch SKUs are affected, and Apple support staff are being told to suggest that users put the computer to sleep by closing the lid for ten seconds which forces a display power cycle and should return the screen to normal.

The memo also says that the problem has been isolated and will be fixed in an upcoming software update.

The official position is that Apple is aware of the issue and is working on a solution.
