Zune Hacking Toolkit tips up

Hackers have developed a toolkit that allows custom applications and games to run on the music-playing gadget.

The OpenZDK toolkit is the first hack to work on the original Zune and Zune HD, developer Glenn Anderson told Wired.

жсPeople can now bypass all of MicrosoftНs limitations and develop for the platform,о he said.

The toolkit means developers can create or port games to the platform.

And it's likely Microsoft won't be too miffed over the development. It needs all the help it can get in the losing battle it has been fighting against Apple's over music consumption and delivery

OpenZDK just launched and you can find it from here. There appears to be a single app benefiting from it so far.
