Last updated: 26 January 2023

After a summer locked down with little but your laptop and plants for company, you might find your machine is on its last legs, and it needs replacing. We’ve searched around the best UK retailers to find you the best deals on laptops.

The end of summer and back to school sales mean some computers are a total steal, so it’s worth buying now while they’re still available. So whether you’re after a standard, everyday-use laptop just for the internet, or something a bit more specialized, we’ve got an extensive list of the best priced machines, and some sage advice on how to choose the right one for you.

We’ve narrowed the search to only include laptops within a standard budget (between £200 - £600+), so if you’re after a gaming laptop or a MacBook, you might want to stop reading here.

This laptop is perfect if you’re having to do a lot of e-learning this coming year; you can easily run Windows 10 OS, browse the web and write your essays and articles. On the downside, it’s only got a 5.5 hour battery life, and with just 128GB SSD you’re limited as to what kind of programs and games you can run on here.
