Most of the packages listed above are available either on 12- or 24-month contracts, with no upfront fees except for Fast Broadband.

It’s worth noting that POP Telecom reserves the right to increase the price of your broadband mid-contract.

Broadband and phone packages

POP Telecom does give customers the option to bundle their broadband connection with a phone line. POP Telecom also offers mobile deals in partnership with O2.

As the copper cable network which powers traditional landlines is being phased out in favour of newer infrastructure, POP Telecom offers digital landlines only, which means calls are placed over the internet. 

Taking out a digital landline with POP Telecom will set you back £15.99, plus unlimited calls for just £8 per month.

POP Telecom broadband is on the affordable end of the spectrum, and its deals are regularly among the cheapest on the market. 

What speeds does POP Telecom offer?

POP Telecom is one of the few remaining providers to offer the whole range of internet connections, from ADSL to full fibre broadband.

Its Fast Broadband deal is ADSL broadband, meaning it runs on the same copper cable network used to run landlines. We wouldn’t necessarily recommend opting for such a package unless it is the only option available to you, in part because 11Mbps average speeds are too low to stream or video call without some sort of lag or delay, but also because the copper cable network is due to be retired by January 2027.

Luckily, POP also offers part-fibre (also known as FTTC) and full fibre broadband connections in many UK postcodes. Part-fibre also uses copper cables but only from the on-street cabinets to your home, while full fibre, which is the fastest and most reliable type of internet connection on the market, runs entirely on fibre optic cables.
