What is Vodafone Pro?

When you compare broadband packages from Vodafone, you’ll notice that some of them are labelled ‘Pro’. These Vodafone Pro deals are a tier of broadband package that offer a number of added perks and services that regular Vodafone broadband customers won’t get.

It typically costs around £10 extra per month to upgrade to Vodafone Pro, and this will give you a range of benefits including a backup 4G connection whenever your broadband line goes down, guaranteed reliable WiFi in every room of your home, and priority access to UK-based engineers and experts.

How much does Vodafone Pro cost?

It currently costs £10 per month to upgrade your Vodafone broadband contract to Vodafone Pro. Meanwhile, upgrading to Vodafone Pro Xtra will cost you an extra £20 per month.

The exact cost of your Vodafone Pro package, however, will depend on which deal you go for, i.e. what download speeds you want. The most basic Pro deal, Pro Superfast 1, currently costs £28 per month, while the fastest Pro package, Pro Gigafast 900, will set you back £60 per month.

None of Vodafone’s broadband packages currently have any setup or delivery fees.

What benefits do you get with Vodafone Pro?

Upgrading to one a Vodafone Pro broadband package gives you a number of benefits, including:

• Super WiFi: Vodafone Pro customers will be sent Super WiFi Boosters, which you can place around your home to extend the WiFi signal of your main router. Vodafone guarantees that you’ll get a reliable WiFi connection in every room of your home with these boosters; if you don’t, then you can cancel your contract with no charges whatsoever. 
• 4G Broadband Backup: Whenever your broadband connection goes down for whatever reason, Vodafone Pro customers will automatically be switched to the Vodafone 4G mobile network, meaning that you should never be left without an internet connection at home. You will be provided with a 4G dongle that you must plug in to your router. It will come with 50GB of data as standard; if you run out, then you can request a top-up at no extra cost from one of Vodafone’s WiFi Xperts.
• WiFi Xperts: Vodafone Pro customers get priority when it comes to resolving issues with their broadband connection. You will be first line to get through to Vodafone’s UK-based expert team, who can help you to understand anything about your home broadband setup and help you to fix any issues. They can also arrange for an engineer to visit your home to fix any issues should they need to, all at no extra cost to you.
• 12 months free Norton 360 Premium antivirus: Pro customers will also get a whole year’s worth of antivirus protection on up to 10 devices, from award-winning online security firm Norton. After the initial 12 months of free service, you will have to start paying a subscription fee, albeit at 50% of Norton’s current retail price.
• Discount for Vodafone Mobile customers: If you’re also a Vodafone mobile customer, then you can get £3 a month knocked off the price of your Vodafone Pro contract. Mobile customers are also entitled to a free Amazon Fire TV Stick and an Amazon Echo Dot (4^th generation).

What is Vodafone Pro Xtra?

Vodafone Pro Xtra deals are the top tier of broadband package that the company offers. It gives you all of the benefits of Vodafone Pro, plus:

• Apple TV 4K: Vodafone Pro Xtra customers will be sent an Apple 4K TV box along with your Vodafone Wi-Fi Hub. This will also come with a free 3-month subscription to Apple TV+, but you’ll need a 4K-ready TV to be able to enjoy its content in the highest resolution.
• Anytime landline and mobile calls: You will get free calls from your home phone to any other UK landline or mobile number, 24/7, 7 days a week. However, this only applies to the first 60 minutes of any call. So, if you’re going to be phoning somebody for longer than an hour, it’s recommended that you hang up before 60 minutes has elapsed and then call them back again, to avoid any unwanted charges.
• No price rises while in contract: Pro Xtra customers are also guaranteed to have their monthly prices fixed for the duration of their contract. That includes any price hikes that Vodafone imposes in line with inflation.
