About Zen Internet

Zen Internet started in 1995 and has been delivering connectivity solutions to homes and businesses since then. Nowadays, the provider is known for its reliable broadband connections.

As well as a longstanding history, Zen is multi award-winning and very highly rated by customers on platforms such as Trustpilot. While its deals aren’t the cheapest or the fastest on the market, the broadband provider has gained customer loyalty thanks to the quality of the service it delivers and its sustainable ethos.

Read on to find out about Zen broadband packages, the speeds it offers, its benefits, and more.

Zen broadband packages

Zen has a wide range of broadband packages on offer, with speeds to suit every household:

  • Unlimited Fibre 1, with average speeds of 31Mbps

  • Unlimited Fibre 2, with average speeds of 67Mbps

  • Full Fibre 100, with average speeds of 105Mbps

  • Full Fibre 500, with average speeds of 500Mbps

  • Full Fibre 900, with average speeds of 910Mbps

  • Full Fibre Max, with average speeds of 2,300Mbps

While most of the provider’s broadband connections are available through Openreach (the network run by BT), it also offers some full fibre packages through CityFibre, which as its name implies, is more widely available in towns and cities across the UK.

Broadband and phone packages

Zen offers customers the option to bundle broadband and phone deals.

All of the landline services it offers are digital, meaning they don’t rely on the traditional copper network which is being retired in the UK. Instead, all you need is an internet connection, and you can make a call just as you would on any telephone.

Zen’s phone packages are on the expensive side, ranging from £7.50 per month for Digital Voice (1,000 minutes to UK local, national and mobile numbers) to £17.99 per month for unlimited minutes to UK numbers. You can also add 500 minutes to certain international numbers for £13 per month.

How to get a Zen broadband deal with usave

Once you’ve decided Zen is the provider for you, it’s really easy to take out a Zen broadband deal with usave:

  1. Enter your postcode into the free postcode checker at the top of this page. This will bring up all the provider’s broadband packages available in your area.

  2. Compare Zen broadband deals in terms of cost, length, and added features until you find one that fits your needs.

  3. Click “View deal” to be redirected to Zen’s website, and follow the checkout instructions to secure your new broadband package.

If you already have an existing broadband contract with a different provider, you may have to inform them that you are leaving. We would also recommend waiting until you are out of contract until you take out a new internet connection, as you may otherwise have to pay early termination fees.

What broadband speeds does Zen offer?

Its two slowest deals, Unlimited Fibre 1 and 2, are part-fibre broadband connections, offering speeds of 31 and 67Mbps respectively. Part-fibre, also known as fibre-to-the-cabinet (FTTC) runs partly on the old copper cable network that is also used to power traditional landlines.

While the speeds may be suitable for smaller households or light internet users, the copper cable network is due to be switched off in early 2027, so if you can make the switch to full fibre, we’d recommend doing so to avoid having to change again in the near future.

All of Zen’s other broadband packages are full fibre broadband, which is faster and more reliable than ADSL and part-fibre broadband. Speeds offered by the provider range from 105Mbps to 2,300Mbps, with packages in between to suit every household size and need.
