As landlines slowly become a tool exclusively for nuisance callers, the mobile phone is now the norm when it comes to how we communicate when we’re at home.

However, this can be a problem if you have poor network coverage in your house. Fortunately, we’re here to help, with a few quick ways you can boost the signal in your home.

Boosters

While this won’t be available on all networks, some providers will offer signal boosters. These are small devices which help to extend coverage in your home by piggybacking off your broadband. Boosters are a good solution for houses that have great internet, but poor network coverage.

Call over WiFi

Sometimes, the easiest option is just to call over WiFi. Aside from using internet-only calling services like WhatsApp or Zoom, calling over WiFi allows you to make a normal phone call to someone's number using your broadband connection. This isn’t available on all networks, but it’s worth enquiring about it.

Find another network

As a last resort, you always have the option of jumping ship and finding another mobile provider. This can be a bit of a nuisance, but if you can’t use your phone at home, you might wonder what’s the point of having it.

Before you do, however, make sure to check the network coverage of your new phone company. You definitely wouldn't want to go through the same problem again.
