Highlights

The P30 Lite’s in-built AI can use the front camera to identify more than 8 categories in real-time, while the rear camera can recognize up to 22. This enables the phone to automatically adjust settings like lighting, contrast and colour levels to give you the best possible photos.

Huawei’s AI-powered HiVision technology allows you to transform your phone into an intelligent assistant for use in everyday life. Just point your camera at an object and it can display information about it, such as pets, flowers, and calorie counts. You can also scan an object and it’ll tell you where to buy it online, or even translate a menu in a restaurant on holiday.

Design and appearance

As is the way with Huawei's other phones, the P30 Lite is chic and compact, measuring 72.7mm (W) x 152.9mm (H) x 7.4mm (D) and weighing only 159g (inc battery), and comes in Midnight Black, Pearl White and Peacock Blue.

Camera

Huawei have opted for their own brilliant camera technology in this handset, giving it an AI-supported triple camera on the rear, and a single 24MP camera on the front.
