Getting Disney Plus in the UK is very simple. All you need to do is head over to the website www.disneyplus.com, choose your subscription package and follow the steps on the screen. You will have the options of paying monthly or a discounted price for the year.

After you have submitted your billing details and completed the set up, you will then want to download the Disney Plus application onto the desired device. This can be anything from your smart phone, smart TV, desktop, games console and now even your Sky Q box has the function for Sky broadband customers to download the app and stream Disney content until your heart’s content.

How much is Disney Plus UK?

As mentioned above, Disney Plus is available in the UK at two varying rates. You can opt to pay a monthly subscription at £5.99 a month in the UK or it is £59.99 for the year. Interestingly, O2 have offered new and existing customers in the UK the possibility to get six months of Disney Plus for free. To get this offer worth £36, customers need to take out a new contract or upgrade to a new phone.

What’s on Disney Plus UK?

Disney Plus UK has a really exciting and impressive catalogue of content, with a big enough range of new, classic and diverse films and shows to occupy the entire family. Within the first year Christine McCarthy, Disney's chief financial officer, stated that the firm had invested at least $1 billion into original content. So as well as your usual classic Disney films like 101 Dalmatians, The Lion King and Toy Story, you can watch new original series like The Mandalorian and the new live-action remake of Mulan.

The Mandalorian Season 2 came out on October 30^th ­- following the success of the first season, the debut of the second one drove 3.1 times the average weekend sign-ups to Disney Plus compared to other weekends in October. Disney acquired both the Star Wars and Marvel franchises, so all of those films and related content are available on the platform, as well as Pixar and National Geographic content. This bodes well for future releases in those franchises, of which there are many to come.

In total there are around 500 films, 350 shows and even 30 seasons of The Simpsons all available for you to stream and loads more on the way!
