Virgin Media Re-Branding Promises Better Service for Customers

Virgin Media has launched a range of new broadband and TV bundle packages called Oomph, while promising better services for their customers.

The broadband, TV and mobile provider said its new deals offer ‘outstanding value for customers’, claiming that those on the most basic offer will save over £100 each year. The Oomph bundle packages aren’t entirely new deals but have replaced the previous broadband and TV bundle deals that were on offer for both new and existing customers.

According to Virgin Media, its Oomph packages offer faster broadband speeds than its standard cable deals, as well as a 4G mobile SIM that offers faster speeds than many its major rivals including O2, Sky, Three and Vodafone.

Currently, there are four Oomph deals on offer – the Big Bundle, Big Bundle + Drama, Bigger Bundle and the Ultimate Oomph Bundle. These have replaced the Player TV, VIP and Full House TV bundle deals. Other broadband packages have also been rebranded, with the VIVID name being replaced by an M. For example, the VIVID 50 Broadband and Phone deal is now called the M50 Fibre Broadband + Phone.

The Ultimate Oomph bundle comes with over 280 TV channels including both Sky Sports and BT Sport, as well as average download speeds of 516Mbps. It also comes with a mobile SIM with unlimited data, calls and texts. It’s not cheap though, costing £99 a month and increasing to £139 a month after the first year. However, the Big Bundle package, which comes with 110 TV channels and average download speeds of 108Mbps, costs just £29 a month.

As well as rebranding their bundle packages, Virgin Media announced that customers with a broadband and mobile bundle deals will get unlimited 4G mobile data for up to seven days if their broadband connection goes down. And customers on the Ultimate Oomph bundle deal will be entitled to a next-day engineer visit to restore their broadband connection as soon as possible.

“We know how important it is for our customers to stay connected and that’s why Virgin Media’s new service promise offers peace of mind, no matter what happens,” said Jeff Dodds, managing director of Virgin Media.

“It’s a simple, transparent and straight-up commitment to our customers that we’ll keep them online with superfast unlimited 4G mobile data if they experience an issue with their broadband, plus they have the option of a next-day engineer appointment to get things fixed.

“Our service promise is at the heart of our un-limiting Oomph bundle line-up which offers our customers an unrivalled connected entertainment experience in and out of the home – at great value.”

Customers who are looking for some of the fastest internet speeds available should compare broadband deals currently on offer from Virgin Media. They have a wide range of broadband, mobile and TV bundles as well as broadband only deals to choose from.
